DD suggestions are caught up, self suggestions have been responded to and I have DDs set until February 2nd :la:

Since I like learning things about my watchers (and would love to interact with the newer ones  ) I was wondering if anyone else has what I call Forever Fandoms, which are things you've loved for so long that you can't imagine not being a fan of them?

My oldest one is the Phantom of the Opera (book and musical); I've loved that since I was 5.  The rest all came in when I was 12, oddly enough; X-Men (Evolution specifically but got into the comics and movies as well), Fire Emblem (the first one released in North America came out that year and while it's no longer my top fave, it still has a place in my heart), the Wheel of Time series, the Symphony of Ages series (which I just finished because I hadn't realised that the last two books had came out so I had to catch up and has anyone else even read this one?).

So what are your Forever Fandoms?  Do you make Fan Art for them?  Feel free to share any fan art that you love from them too :la:

I'm a sucker for forever fandoms and nostalgia :la:

My most obvious that reflects in my life AND my art, is the Final Fantasy series. I've been playing them for about 17 years now, and I specifically replay VI-X every 2 years or so (yeah, I'm obsessed). As a consequence of that, it's the most prevalent subject of my fanart. I find it really comforting to draw the characters or places I grew up with! Here are my most recent pieces:

Anything Disney is another since it's been around since waaaay before I was born (although, I'm guessing this one applies for most people?) Oddly enough, I've never really drawn a lot of Disney art; I think it's because I've never really tested it out with my style of drawing and I'm terrified of destroying something so pretty. :P I'm rectifying that now though, because I've been doing a lot of studies, and I'm using the Disney princesses to try out different ways of painting and using colour. I HAVE been to Disneyland (Paris) around 8 times, and it's my dream to be able to afford to go to the "real" Disney World.

Jurassic Park. Again, probably another popular one. I was obsessed with dinosaurs since I was about 4 years old. I don't know if anyone outside of the UK used to get these magazines, but I was an avid collector of them Here's the first issue! You got a plastic skeleton piece every issue to eventually build a T-Rex. It's funny, my Dad was cleaning out the attic a few weeks ago, and he gave me a box of all the magazines - my parents had kept them for me! Anyway, they magazines came out a year before Jurassic Park (I think), so when the movie came out when I was 7, I was just blown away by the sheer awesomeness of it, so ended up obsessed with the franchise. Still feel that way to this day. Jurassic World, on the other hand... :( Fanart? I can't draw dinosaurs, although I did try out a Velociraptor portrait that was a lot of fun. arvaliss gallery is ridiculous - combining Pokemon with dinosaur aesthetics is just genius *screaming fangirl*

Oh man, I could go on all day. I have an addictive personality for most things, but when it comes to fandoms...yeah. Obsessed.
