This year's entry for the Heroes and Villains pageant. The deadline may still be 2 weeks off, but I have assignments coming up, so I am out of time

No CC please and thanks since I won't have time to put it into practice. I know she's not perfect but I am relatively satisfied and that's all I have time for

Black background due to the website

So speaking to the character design for the diehard fans: I based her off of her graphic novel incarnation. That being said, I made her hair more brown as it is shown on novel covers. Her hair is down and not in a "huge, coiffed Cairheinin" style because she lives her life on the road and lets face it, 3 foot high hair would not be practical. Also, in the Eye of the World, it is mentioned that Egwene un-braids her hair because Moiraine wears hers down. Also, I see a lot of designs where Moiraine is showing a lot of breast area for a woman who is rather conservative; I decided to avoid that trend here. Also avoided copious amounts of white since Moiraine mentions not liking the colour in New Spring.
I really wanted the portrait and full body to show different expressions; the portrait is as serene as I can doll a person, showing an Aes Sedai who is poised, while the full body shows more vexation and annoyance, hinting more at the woman who will spend her life trying to save the world, even though she thinks the world will burn before it can be saved.
I've really always loved this character and I hope to do some more fanart of her in the near future.
(You actually got me interested - from what book/series/movie/etc. does she come from?
She's from a book series called The Wheel of Time by Robert Jordan. Really long series but really worth the read <3
The lenght isn't a problem, I read faster than most people. Getting the books will be harder- I'd have to win a lottery to buy all the books I'd like...
Ah I see what you mean there. And I guess used bookstores are less of an option for English books in Poland?
Living in a country where people don't read books (no matter the language - they don't read, period) sucks :/
